Sydney Harbour & Cockatoo Island Tours

Board the MV Supercat for a five-hour exploration which includes sights such as Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera House, Luna Park and of course the majestic Cockatoo Island.

Experience the eerie chills of discovery as we head over to Cockatoo Island to learn about the chequered past of the Penal Colony Prison system and living conditions on the island. Indulge in a magnificent island lunch at the Marina Café & Bar with delights such as beer-battered fish and chips with homemade tartare sauce.

Since 1839, Cockatoo Island has had a colourful history of European settlement. From Convict Penal Colony and Sandstone Quarry to reform schools and Ship Building, this island has seen it all. There are many tales to be told of the hardships endured during each phase of the island’s history.

Cruising from King St Wharf in Darling Harbour, enjoy a glass of wine or a locally brewed beer whilst embarking on a journey of exploration as we enter Cockatoo Island where all the excitement begins.

Once at the island, you can take a self-guided 90-minute exploration tour of Cockatoo Island. Visit the Marina Café & Bar and choose a delicious and freshly prepared lunch. Relax with a scenic return cruise to the mainland where you will disembark at King Street Wharf Darling Harbour, arriving back at 4:00 pm (approx.)

Lunch Choices

• Beer-battered fish & chips w homemade tartare sauce
• Nachos – corn chips, cheese, chili beans, guacamole and sour cream
• Pulled pork wrap – pulled pork, BBQ sauce, coleslaw, mayonnaise wrapped in a delicious tortilla
• Wagyu burger, with smoked bacon, cheese, rocket, and homemade chutney, served with fries

Cruise days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday

Cruise times: 11:00am depart King Street Wharf and cruise Sydney Harbour

12:30pm arrive Cockatoo Island

3:15pm depart Cockatoo Island

4:00pm arrive King Street Wharf

Cruise Capacity: minimum 30 guests, maximum 100 guests per cruise

Guests will be identified with different coloured wrist bands depending on ticket held.

Cockatoo Island event closures: Sydney Event Cruises will not run cruises on days when Cockatoo Island is closed to the public for special events, even when they fall on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.
1. Classic Ticket – Half Day Package

Inclusions:

·        90-minute cruise – access to the lower decks of MV Supercat for the 90 minute out-bound cruise

·        Transfers to Cockatoo Island

·        Lunch stop over at Marina Café & Bar (lunch is not included but 10% discount applies to all tour guests)

·        90-minute self-guided tour of Cockatoo Island

·        Transfers to King St Wharf – access to the lower decks of MV Supercat for the 30 minute in-bound cruise.

·        Cash bar available during your cruises on both out-bound and in-bound cruises.

2. Platinum Ticket – Half Day Package

Inclusions:

·        Platinum boarding MV Supercat

·        90-minute cruise – VIP access to the upper deck which includes premium views and VIP service throughout the 90 minute in-bound cruise time.

·        A delicious grazing box per couple or family to feast on during the outbound 90 minute cruise to Cockatoo Island

·        Complimentary drinks including, beer, red & white wine, sparkling wine, tea, coffee and soft drinks, (90 minute outbound cruise only). RSA will be enforced during this time to ensure patrons do not arrive intoxicated on Cockatoo Island

·        Transfers to and from Cockatoo Island

·        90-minute audio-guided tour (unavailable during Covid-19 restrictions* please view T’s & C’s tab)

·        90-minute self-guided tour of Cockatoo Island

·        Lunch stop over at Marina Café & Bar (lunch is not included but 10% discount applies to all tour guests)
